JK is a big supporter of Traidcraft and this year we are taking part in the ‘Big Brew’ during Fairtrade Fortnight (27 Feb – 11 March).
Established in 1979, Traidcraft fights poverty through trade, helping people in developing countries to transform their lives. It runs training programmes in some of the poorest countries in the world, and campaigns in the UK and internationally to bring about trade justice.
Traidcraft supporters are expected to host Big Brews across the UK during Fairtrade Fortnight, serving Fairtrade tea and coffee and collecting donations for Traidcraft’s charity work.
Here in John Knox Church we serve fair trade tea and coffee after the service every week and at all our church events and meetings. Come through after the service on 4th and 11th March for an opportunity to take part in our Big Brew, to browse at the Traidcraft stall and make a donation to the work of Traidcraft.
