Each year Katie Strathdee and her friends from John Knox participate in the Christian Aid Cumbrae Challenge - an 11 mile round the island walk. This year the walk is on Saturday 16th June. Can you sponsor Katie and the team and help reduce poverty and suffering in many parts of the world?

He is risen! Easter celebrated in open-air

Stewarton churches came together on Easter Sunday for an early morning open-air celebration on the town’s Gameshill.

The gathering included readings and praise and an Easter message from Gordon Smith, minister at Stewarton United Reformed Church.

This was followed by the judging of the children’s decorated Easter eggs which they then rolled down the hill.

Everyone enjoyed rolls filled with bacon and sausage back at the John Knox halls.

JK gives Sport Relief

Members and friends of JK joined our Retired Gentleman’s Cycling Club on Sunday to go the extra mile and raise money for Sport Relief.

RGCC were cycling and families and friends cycled, strolled and did a three legged mile adding to Sport Relief’s on-the-night record £50 million total.

What’s inside the Prayer Room?

The Prayer Room will contain different creative materials to help you pray. Things to look at, read, touch, listen to and write on. It’s entirely up to you. Following on from the JK prayer space for schools day, there will also be a special ‘family box’ of resources for children.

Where is the Prayer Room?

It will be located in the vestry within John Knox, with secure access from the side entrance.

Worship

There will be a short time of prayer and worship before the Prayer Room opens on Thursday 10th May at 9.30am – come along! Our 3 days and nights of prayer will end before the Sunday service on 13th May.
