Youthwork Consent

Given the current situation the youthwork which was happening in and through John Knox Church is moving online and will continue to be active to support those in the Stewarton Academy catchment area. 

In order to protect the young people we are seeking consent for your child to engage with the activities being offered. 

Online platforms such as Zoom, Tabletopia and Discord will be used and I encourage you to look into these platforms to ensure you are happy with your child using them.  All activities will be in accordance with the Church of Scotland safeguarding procedure.

Online platforms will be used to ‘meet’ online in groups which are all optional and the young people can choose to take part in some or all or the activities and how they engage with them, in all applications used they are in control of their own video and audio and so can turn these things on and off as they wish. 

As part of the youthwork being offered we will be doing weekly check-ins, regular social sessions and bible studies – all of which are operated on a ‘drop-in’ basis.  All gatherings will have two leaders and at no point will any one on one sessions be taking place.
