The Ayrshire (East) Foodbank provides an emergency food provision to local people in crisis.
The service is managed by CVO (East Ayrshire) Ltd and run by trained volunteers who staff a number of distribution points including the Stewarton branch at St Columba’s Church on Tuesdays and Fridays.
The foodbank receives referrals from a number of statutory and third sector partners to ensure that food goes to the most vulnerable people. A voucher is given which is exchanged for food.
When a person comes into the foodbank they are provided with three days worth of food which is non-perishable, nutritionally balanced and tailored to their needs, for example including baby or pet food.
Please help by donating any non-perishable items which can be placed into one of the boxes at the front door of the church or in the Welcome Area each Sunday.
